Mike Tinsley
Sulaski & Tinsley Homes is a North Carolina Limited Liability Company established for real estate development and homebuilding and began building in January 2006. Charles Michael (Mike) Tinsley, II and Robert L. Sulaski are Members and Managers of this Company.
Mike began managing construction with Centex in Charleston, SC in 1988 then started the Greenville, SC operation for Centex in 1992. In 1994, at the invitation of a former Centex executive, Mike was asked to join Charlotte, NC-based Saussy-Burbank as their division executive in Western North Carolina. Saussy-Burbank was the leading builder in Biltmore Park, Biltmore Farms' mixed use master planned community. During the buy-out of Saussy-Burbank by Arvida in 1999, Mike and Robert began discussions about forming a new homebuilding company.
Robert joined Arvida/Disney in 1987 and became the Project Manager for Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach Florida and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club, Jacksonville, Florida. In 1991, Robert joined Disney Development Company with responsibility for land entitlements and residential development. Robert joined Biltmore Farms in 1997 to lead community development. Under Robert's leadership, the community development team completed development of Biltmore Forest and Biltmore Park and developed two new communities, Biltmore Lake and The Ramble.
In 1999, Mike and Robert formed the Broadlands Company, a homebuilding company owned with the Cecil (Biltmore Farms) family. Under Mike's leadership, the homebuilding company quickly became one of the largest homebuilders in Western North Carolina. In 2004, the Cecil family purchased all interest in The Broadlands Company and Mike and Robert continued in their leadership roles until December 2005 when they formed Sulaski & Tinsley Homes.
Mike Tinsley is a South Carolina licensed general contractor and a North Carolina licensed real estate broker. Robert Sulaski is a North Carolina licensed general contractor. Sulaski & Tinsley Homes has a North Carolina unlimited license.
